Lash Lifts

What is a Lash Lift?

Lash lifts are a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions or mascara! It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift lasts for 6 to 8 weeks! I apply a black lash tint which really makes your lashes look more prominent and gives the appearance of wearing mascara without the clumsiness! To top off the treatment I treat the lashes with a keratin treatment to nourish them and give a soft, shining effect. It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!

How do I need to prep for my appointment?

PLEASE ARRIVE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT COMPLETELY FREE OF EYE MAKE UP! Also, you must stop usage of waterproof mascara at least 2 days prior to your lift.

What are the post-treatment instructions?

Post treatment is very simple! Don't get your lashes wet or apply anything at all to them for 24 hours. Steer clear of waterproof mascara the entire life of your Lift. Brush out the lashes daily. Applying castro oil or a lash serum is not mandatory but it is recommended. It helps the longevity of the lift as well as helps nourish your lashes after the chemical process of a lift.

Is there any maintenance between lifts?

You don't have to do anything special with your lashes in between lifts other than giving them a good brush out daily and stay away from waterproof mascara.

Can I still wear mascara?

Yes! Mascara is safe to still use as long as it is not waterproof. But do keep in mind that mascara is heavy on our lashes so loading a ton on daily weighs down the lashes and could cause your lift to not last its full 6-8 weeks it has the potential to.

Why can't I wear waterproof mascara?

Harsh chemicals are used in waterproof formulas in order to make them, well.... waterproof. This chemical composition is extremely drying to your lashes. Not to mention all the effort and extra tugging and pulling on the lashes to remove the mascara. This results in weakened lashes that are prone to breakage, and over shedding.

Why do I have to stop wearing waterproof mascara 2 days prior to my appointment?

Pretty much for all the same reasons stated above. If you are a regular waterproof mascara wearer, then your lashes are already most likely dehydrated and weakened. Giving your lashes a few days break from waterproof mascara (or any at all) a few days before your appointment will increase the overall lift. Failing to do this will result in a poor Lift and possible further damage.

Will a lash lift damage my lashes?

No, as long as you follow all the advice on Pre prep and Post care. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes! Note: lash lifts are a much safer alternative to lash exentions and ESPECIALLY curling your lashes with a lash curler. This only breaks and damages your lashes.

Is it painful?

Not at all! At first, when I'm applying the shields to the eyelids, it may feel a bit strange. But, for the most part, it's very relaxing! You do have to be in a laid down poisition for an hour, with your eyes closed the entire time.

I use Latisse. Can I still get a lash lift?

Yes! Some of the most dramatic results I've achieved have been from those using Latisse® because their lashes are already so long.

How long does it last?

Depending on the length and quality of your natural lashes, the lift can last for 6 to 8 weeks.

I recently has Lasik surgery. Is this procedure safe to do?

Yes, but you need to wait at least 6 months. As always, when in doubt, please consult with your physician.

Chronic dry eye, conjunctivitis, damaged lashes or lashes with gaps (this treatment may make the gaps more noticeable), active eye infections of any kind, trichotillomania (habitual pulling out of lashes), recent chemo treatments (you will need to wait at least a year from your last treatment. When in doubt, always consult with your physician.)

How often can I get this procedure done?

Lash lifts are permanent for the full natural lash shedding cycle which is typically 6-8 weeks. When the lift is fully grow out, a client is ready to have another lift.

How long does this procedure take?

45 minutes- 1 hour

How much does it cost?

Lamination

What is brow lamination?

Brow Lamination is designed to straighten the brow hairs, resulting in instantly full, lifted & fluffy brows. The process essentially involves straightening brow hairs. Lamination can be paired with a Brow Tint for bold & enhanced results.

How does lamination work?

Step 1: When the Brow Perming Solution is applied, the chemical process breaks down the bonds within each hair, allowing them to morph & move into a new shape. Step 2: When the Brow Fixing Solution is applied, the hair bond remodels into the new shape. Step 3: The Brow Keratin is applied at the end of the treatment to restore moisture back into the brows & skin NOTE: The new brow design and shape takes up to 48 hours for the bonds to lock into place & cure, which is why it is important to follow the correct aftercare for 48 hours post-treatment.

How long does lamination last?

Lamination lasts between 4-6 weeks if you are following the correct aftercare. For maintenance, each morning your Laminated brows will require styling by brushing and setting in place.

What is the before & aftercare for lamination?

What should and should not be done 24-48 hours post-treatment for the longevity of results: - Keep brows completely dry for 24 hours. - Use Brow Code Gold Brow Growth Oil daily to keep the brows nourished & hydrated. - Do not apply make-up or undertake further eye treatments for at least 24 hours after your treatment. - Avoid swimming/sauna/working out for 24-48 hours. Any excess moisture after this time can cause a slight curl/frizz to the brow hair. - Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat. - Do not apply Retin-A, AHA or exfoliate around the brow area for 72 hours either side of the treatment. - No self-tanning products should be used on the face for one week prior and 48 hours after treatment. NOTE: If any stinging or swelling occurs, apply a cold compress to soothe and seek medical advice.

Can I do lamination and tint in the same service?

Yes!

Can I do Henna & Lamination in the same appointment?

We do not recommend the Lamination & the Henna be used together as the hairs become incredibly porous & causes the tint to react incredibly fast! Because Henna requires time to develop, you will find the hairs will over process before the stain has a chance to develop and it won't last as long as it should.

Is lamination safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

Lamination is not safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women. This is due to the risk of chemicals sinking into the skin and potentially entering the blood stream. If you would still like to receive Lamination treatments despite this information, please consult with your doctor first!
